August 1, 2104 – Race Camera Adds Data Capture
The Race Camera app has a new function that allows all data recorded onto the video stream to be displayed in table format or emailed to anyone, including the user as a data file that can be imported into Microsoft Excel or other software. Race Camera tracks these data:
- Time
- Latitude
- Longitude
- Direction(Degrees)
- Distance
- Speed
- Altitude
- Fore/Aft Acceleration
- Vertical Acceleration
- Lateral Acceleration
How is this useful? With data, you can graph trends that occur during the video session. If you are a racer, you can track distance against time and speed. If you are a skydiver you can track speed, altitude and time. If you are a skier, you can track direction, distance, speed, time, and G-forces when you wipe out!
